Accessibility statement

Professor Perlman Sharon, responsible for the establishment and operation of the website (www.dr-perlmansharon.com).

We place great importance on providing equal service to all citizens and improving the services provided to citizens with disabilities.

We invest significant resources in making our website and digital assets accessible in order to make society's services more available to people with disabilities. In Israel, approximately 20% of the population consists of individuals with disabilities who require digital accessibility to access information and general services. The accessibility of Professor Perlman Sharon's website is intended to make it more available, user-friendly, and convenient for populations with special needs, including various motor disabilities, cognitive impairments, visual impairments, blindness or color blindness, hearing impairments, and the elderly population.

The website's accessibility was implemented by the web accessibility company "VEE - Web Accessibility."

Accessibility level on the website: AA

"VEE" has adapted the website's accessibility for common browsers and mobile phone usage to the best of their abilities and conducted tests using screen readers such as Jaws and NVDA. They adhere to the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law 5688-2013 at the AA level and implement recommendations from the WCAG 2.2 document by the W3C organization. In Hebrew, this corresponds to WCAG 2.0 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in English.

How to enable accessibility mode:

An accessibility icon is located on the website (usually on the site's pages). Clicking the icon opens an accessibility menu. After selecting the appropriate function in the menu, wait for the page to load and the desired changes in the display (if necessary). To disable the action, click the function in the menu a second time. In any case, accessibility settings can be reset.

The software works on popular browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

It is recommended to use Chrome for browsing in accessibility mode. The website provides semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the common keyboard navigation pattern using arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows. For the best browsing experience with screen reader software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.

Fixes and adjustments made to the website:

  • Adaptation for screen readers: The website was adjusted for assistive technologies such as NVDA and JAWS.

  • All pages on the website have a fixed structure (1H/2H/3H, etc.).
