About
Welcome!
I'm Professor Sharon Perlman, a gynecologist and obstetrician specializing in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.
I serve as a senior physician in the Ultrasound Unit at Lis Women’s Hospital, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, and as a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tel Aviv University.
I completed my medical degree at the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem as part of the Israeli Defense Forces’ academic reserve program.
My residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at Kaplan Medical Center, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound at Sheba Medical Center. I later worked in the Ultrasound Unit at Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson Hospital), where I led the multidisciplinary prenatal clinic for congenital anomalies of the kidneys and gastrointestinal system in fetuses—a role I continue to fulfill at Lis Women’s Hospital.
In my private practice, I perform comprehensive ultrasound evaluations throughout pregnancy, including nuchal translucency screening, early and late detailed anatomy scans, third-trimester assessments, and targeted evaluations for fetal anomalies across various organ systems.
I also conduct gynecological ultrasounds for women of all ages, from childhood to menopause, including assessments of uterine and ovarian structure. Additionally, I provide advanced infertility evaluations, including 3D ultrasound imaging of the uterus and contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging of the uterus and fallopian tubes for tubal patency assessment. Another key aspect of my work is the use of ultrasound for maternal pelvic assessment, including predicting labor outcomes and employing ultrasound-guided biofeedback to optimize pushing efforts during the second stage of labor.
Beyond my clinical practice, I am actively involved in medical volunteer work and the promotion of women in medicine. During the “Swords of Iron” operation, I founded FirstLine Med, a volunteer-based organization dedicated to supplying life-saving medical equipment.
I am committed to uncompromising professionalism, empathetic communication, and personalized patient care. Every patient receives attentive guidance and a tailored medical approach, ensuring transparency and support at every step of their journey.
