Professor Sharon Perlman is a highly experienced gynecologist and obstetrician, specializing in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound.

 

She serves as a senior physician in the ultrasound units at Lis Women's Hospital, Tel Aviv Medical Center, and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tel Aviv University Medical School. In her clinical roles, Prof. Perlman serves as the clinical lead for the multidisciplinary prenatal clinic focused on congenital anomalies of the kidneys and urinary tract malformations.

She conducts comprehensive prenatal ultrasounds throughout pregnancy, including nuchal translucency scans and detailed anatomical scans in the early, mid, and late trimesters.
Her expertise also includes gynecological ultrasounds for women across all age groups, as well as three-dimensional assessments of the uterus.

Prof. Perlman’s research activities are extensive and focus on two interrelated fields of maternal-fetal medicine: the prenatal diagnosis of fetal malformations and sonographic assessment of the parturient to predict the probability of a safe vaginal delivery.
Beyond her clinical work, she is deeply involved in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Prof. Perlman has also volunteered as a mentor for residents in the WoMed mentorship program for women doctors.

She was an active member of the local committee of the Physicians for Human Rights organization at the Rabin Medical Center, and led a volunteering activity for gynecological counseling for refugees.

In response to the “Swords of Iron” operation, she founded “FirstLine Med,” a volunteer-based organization dedicated to supplying life-saving medical supplies and equipment to military and civilian medical corps.
